For several months, at the École des Sables, south of Dakar, a team of artists from Tanztheater Wuppertal revived and shared the essence of the Rite, originally choreographed by Bausch in 1975. The evening opens with the meeting of two icons in the world of dance, Germaine Acogny, the first lady of contemporary African dance and Malou Airaudo of Tanztheater Wuppertal. .
